Black and purple: an unusual yet truly elegant combination!

It is not so frequent to see weddings marked by intense colours like black and purple, but for Bethanne and Raphael’s wedding in Como, a beautiful couple coming from America and Poland, it has been completely different!

From the bridesmaids’ dresses down to the ribbon of the bomboniere (Italian traditional sugared almonds given to the guests as favours), to the floral decorations, everything was marked by these great impacting colours, which offer an unusual color palette for a wedding in Italy.

The wedding ceremony took place in the lovely church overlooking Lake Como. Delicate purple ribbons embellished the little bunches of flowers decorating pews and altar incorporating a further shade of this intense colour.

The exclusive Relais in Laglio welcomed Beth and Raphael’s wedding reception in its warm and classic hall. A lovely and simple lemon tree was arranged to help guests reach their tables. The use of the same colours for the reception enhanced the atmosphere of the dinner bringing in a glamorous touch also thanks to candles and suffused illumination.

Inside, white and purple candles created a warm atmosphere together with stunning flower creations, full of colour and life that perfectly reflected the joy and cheerfulness of the newlyweds and their guests.
