Have your wedding in the romantic Italian city of Venice

Venice - Italian destination wedding - Italian Wedding Planners copia

It’s a name that is known to us all, one we seem to say with a bit of reverence: Venice!

The city of canals and bridges, of artists and architecture. This city is a truly unique place, and there are no substitutes for it. Venice vies with Paris as being the most romantic city on earth. Is it any wonder then that a large number of couples become engaged in Venice?

Many newly engaged couples also choose to complete the circle and have their wedding in Venice. This lovely, ancient city is one of the most unique cities on earth. And to think that, in its early years, Venice was little more than a swamp, and early Venetians were known as ‘swamp dwellers’!

Today, Venice is known the world over as a truly magical place to have a wedding. Venice has its own historic, almost film set like quality. Its winding canals and charming alleyways, campos, churches and palazzos contribute to the exceptional atmosphere of this floating city.

Each person attending your wedding in Venice will see and experience something different. As far as we are concerned, it is quite simply one of the most jaw-dropping places on earth; even when we are working there. Others drink in the distinctive landscape. Still others will delight in the city’s array of excellent food, wine, and friendly people. Venice had something for everyone.

And, of course, no wedding in Venice is complete without indulging in a Bellini at Harry’s Bar!

One thing is perfectly clear: should you choose to have your wedding in elegant Venice, your wedding guests will thoroughly enjoy themselves in a multitude of differing ways!

Getting married in Venice is not only incredibly romantic, it is also one of the easiest and most welcoming Italian city venues for your wedding. See below for more plus points about saying ‘I do’ in Venice:

• A gondolier can bring you to your wedding ceremony in a beautiful gondola, and then, as newlyweds, you and your partner can leave the same way.

• Any day of the year is a good day to have your wedding in Venice, unlike the rest of Italy; you can easily have a winter wedding if that’s the wish of you and your fiancé.

• There is a spectacular array of options for weddings of all sizes, and, because Venice is so tiny, transporting you and your wedding party around is speedy and straightforward.

• The main civil ceremony location, the Anglican Church, and many catholic churches sit directly on the Grand Canal – adding the wow factor to your wedding.

• A remarkable and memorable Venetian wedding can be created, and hotel accommodations arranged, to fit within a very wide range of budgets.

• Venice has two airports with direct, low cost links to airports throughout the UK and other European countries.

• There are many hidden palaces and gardens throughout Venice in which you can have your wedding, far away from the hordes of tourists and prying eyes.

• And, let’s not forget that your Venetian wedding will be the highlight of your social circle for months (or even years) to come, and the secret envy of all your friends.

I am looking for a wedding coordinator to help us plan our elopement to Venice from the US. Need help figuring out documentation required, ceremony locations and other requirements for getting married in Italy. What are your rates for this type of information/help? We won’t be having a reception and already have a photographer – Mainly just need clarification with the ceremony requirements.

    Thank you!
